HouseholdOS

Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-04-17.

By installing or using HouseholdOS you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What HouseholdOS is

HouseholdOS is a local-first household management app that helps you track bills, tasks, documents, expirations, and household members. All data stays on your device.

2. HouseholdOS Plus

HouseholdOS Plus is an optional upgrade that removes free-tier limits and unlocks premium organization, export, and reminder features. Plus is offered as:

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no renewal.

Prices are shown in the in-app paywall and in App Store Connect. They may change in future versions of the app but will never change silently for an active subscription period.

3. Restoring and refunds

You can restore your purchases at any time via Settings → Restore Purchases in HouseholdOS. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, per Apple's standard policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise subvert the app's local encryption, entitlement checks, or StoreKit verification. You also agree not to upload illegal content into the encrypted document vault.

5. Availability and errors

We provide HouseholdOS on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change between versions. Local storage, notifications, and biometric unlock are provided by iOS and are subject to Apple's platform behavior.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HouseholdOS and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any data loss arising from hardware failure, iOS updates, or user action. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us through the App Store in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via the app and a new "Last updated" date above.
