PolyPal teaches young learners ages 8–14 to write real Python — and to talk to a real on-device AI — all in one privacy-first iPad app. 🐍 REAL PYTHON, NOT TOY BLOCKS Every lesson runs actual Python code right inside the app. No accounts. No internet. Nothing to install. Learners practice print, variables, loops, functions, dictionaries, tuples — the same tools real programmers use. 🤖 ON-DEVICE AI YOU CAN ACTUALLY CHAT WITH Once you master the basics, Unit 6 unlocks an on-device AI (powered by Apple Intelligence). Lessons cover prompt engineering, persona prompting, few-shot examples, step-by-step thinking, and how to spot when the AI is wrong. 🛡️ PRIVACY-FIRST The AI runs ENTIRELY ON THE iPad. Nothing leaves the device. No API key. No third-party server. No external AI account required. No data collection. 📚 STRUCTURED CURRICULUM • Unit 1 — Foundations • Unit 2 — Functions & Data • Unit 3 — When Things Go Wrong (try/except, debugging) • Unit 4 — Objects & Classes (class, __init__, methods, inheritance) • Unit 5 — Real Projects (story generators, quizzes, mini-games) • Unit 6 — Code & AI: prompt engineering with a real on-device LLM (gated behind foundations) 🎯 FOUNDATIONS FIRST. AI SECOND. You can't skip ahead to the AI track. Units 1 and 2 must be finished first. AI is a force multiplier — but only on top of real understanding. Foundation Models AI features require iPad with M1+ chip and iPadOS 26. Units 1–5 work on any iPad running iPadOS 17+.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use PolyPal on an iOS device you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Standard EULA, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Where Apple's Standard EULA and these Terms conflict, these Terms control.
**Subscriptions:** • PolyPal Monthly — $7.99 / month, auto-renewing • PolyPal Annual — $39.99 / year, auto-renewing (7-day free trial) • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. • Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. • Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Code typed by the user runs locally in the bundled Python-subset interpreter. AI prompts (Unit 6) are sent to Apple's on-device FoundationModels framework. Nothing leaves the device.
You agree not to: reverse engineer the app (except as permitted by law), use the app to break any law, interfere with the app's operation, or use the app to harm others. Violations can result in access being revoked.
PolyPal is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. PolyPal does not transmit data to any external domain.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tony McMurtrey will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of the app. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these terms when the app materially changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use after an update is your acceptance of the new terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
