Privacy Policy — Life Inbox

This policy describes what data Life Inbox ("the app") collects, stores, and shares. It is written to match the App Store Connect App Privacy nutrition label exactly. If this document and the nutrition label ever disagree, the nutrition label is wrong — let us know at support@medbillresolve.com.

What the app collects

Life Inbox does not collect any of the text, photos, dates, vendors, amounts, or notes you put into your inbox. Everything you capture stays on your iPhone in a local SwiftData database. The app contains no accounts and no first-party server. The only outbound network traffic is anonymous, content-free product analytics (described below), which you can turn off in Settings.

What the app stores locally

Inbox items, the raw text you paste, any photos you import for OCR, due dates, amounts, vendors, tags, and reminder times are stored on this device only, in the app's local SwiftData store. Uninstalling Life Inbox or tapping Settings → Erase All Data removes everything.

What the app transmits

Nothing about your inbox content. Life Inbox transmits only anonymous, content-free product analytics events (e.g. "paywall.viewed", "settings.toggled") to PostHog so we can understand which features people use. The text you paste, the dollar amounts, the dates, the vendor names, and any photos you import are never transmitted. Apple StoreKit handles subscription purchases directly with Apple; the app itself does not receive or store payment information.

Third-party services

Life Inbox uses one third-party service: PostHog (posthog.com/privacy), a product analytics provider. Only event names and a small number of generic properties (app version, iOS version, free vs. pro tier, anonymized device identifier) are transmitted. The actual contents of your inbox are never sent. You can opt out anytime in Settings → Privacy → "Share anonymous usage analytics."

Permissions we request

• Camera — only when you tap "Scan" to capture a bill, receipt, or appointment letter. Frames are processed on-device with Vision OCR and are never recorded or transmitted. If you deny, you can still capture by pasting text.
• Photos (read) — only when you pick an image from your library to import a receipt or note. Imported images stay on this device. If you deny, you can still capture by pasting text.
• Calendar (write) — only when you tap "Add to Calendar" on an inbox item; we add the event to your local calendar. We do not read existing calendar events. If you deny, the rest of the app keeps working.
• Face ID — optional. If you turn on App Lock in Settings, Face ID authenticates you locally on your device. We never receive your biometric data.
• Notifications — only used to deliver reminders you set on inbox items. If you deny, the app still works; you just won't see reminder banners.

Your controls

• Revoke any permission in iOS Settings → Life Inbox at any time.
• Uninstall the app to remove all locally-stored data.
• Tap Settings → Erase All Data inside Life Inbox to wipe every inbox item from this device. (There are no accounts to delete — the app is local-only.)
• Contact us at support@medbillresolve.com to request any data we hold or to ask a question about this policy.

Children

Life Inbox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app contains no accounts, social features, advertising, or tracking. If you believe a child has used the app and entered personal data, contact us and we will help erase it.

Changes

We'll update this page when the data we collect changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes (new data types, new third-party services) will also prompt an in-app notice on next launch.
