ExpiryVault — Support

What does the app do?

It tracks things that expire (passports, licenses, insurance, warranties, memberships, vehicle registrations, pet vaccinations, permits, work credentials) and reminds you before they lapse.

How do reminders work?

Local iOS notifications fire on the device at 9:00 AM your local time on the reminder day. The free tier sends reminders 30, 7, and 1 days before an expiration. Plus adds 6-month and 3-month reminders.

I didn't get a notification.

Check: (a) iOS Settings → Notifications → ExpiryVault is enabled; (b) the item's Reminders toggle is on; (c) the item is not archived; (d) the device is not in Do Not Disturb. iOS may also defer notifications to save battery — ExpiryVault is a helper, not an authoritative reminder system.

How do I upgrade?

Open the app → Settings → Upgrade to Plus. Three options: Plus Monthly, Plus Yearly, or Plus Lifetime (one-time purchase).

How do I cancel a subscription?

iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ExpiryVault. Apple manages the subscription lifecycle; we don't see it.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Settings → Restore Purchases (signed into the same Apple ID that purchased).

Does my data leave my phone?

ExpiryVault stores everything locally using SwiftData. There is no server and no account. We use PostHog for minimal, anonymous product analytics (events only — never the contents of your items, photos, or names). See the privacy policy for details.

Can I export my data?

Settings → Export data → produces a JSON file you can save or send from your device.
